Job description
Reporting to the Operations and Logistics Line Manager, the
individual’s main responsibilities will be processing customer orders, tending to
the needs of our existing client base and providing orders progress updates, preparing orders for the warehouse and booking shipments with our freight partners. The role will involve achieving shared team objectives and the opportunity to learn and take ownership of personal tasks and goals. The individual’s work will enable our team to maintain service levels as we continue the growth of our business.
Requirements and qualifications
We are looking for a self-motivated and well organised individual with a meticulous attention to detail. The individual will have previous experience of working within an office environment and will enjoy working in a busy role whilst demonstrating diligence in tasks. They will be comfortable communicating with customers and transport providers both in email and over the phone, as well as liaising with all internal departments during the course of the day. We are looking for excellent customer service skills to maintain the level of service our company prides itself on. Whilst not essential, any scientific background or knowledge of scientific chemicals would be beneficial, as would an understanding of international trade terms.
